My Studio
Happy Holidays, need that special gift for someone? My Silver prices are from 2 years ago... I did a big purchase when silver was much more affordable... just call I'll opne my studio- just for you!
I'm gail Mutoza, a metalsmith artisan, and yes, I teach Tai Chi too. (say that 3 times fast :-) !) My passion is handcrafting
silver & precious metals into art: jewelry to small animal sculptures to teaspoons and beyond. I design and hand make one-of-a-kind
unique, original pieces. I am always learning and trying new techniques for designs. Making things has always been part of my "dna"- much of
it would have made you laugh. I'm still making what I love- now
with Silver and metals,
so it's really easy for me to
have fun "working." In my "GALLERY" you can see a sampling of
pieces I've made that have been sold or have been sent to galleries
across the country. Just click on gallery to take a look.
My studio is in California's Central Coast. Our village community
of Aromas, is 3,000 strong with a Post Office, library, feed store, cafe, auto repair, store and an old time "Town Square." Here's the view from my studio window:
Any day I might see wild turkeys, foxes, redtail hawks, quail, bobcats, deer, or
coyotes and an assortment of birds and butterflies. Mountain lions have
been seen in our area and by people that I "believe".. i don't think
this is a rural legend- (haha). This climate, landscape and
community inspire me to create beautiful things. We spotted this turkey (along with 7 more) in our field:
My studio is available for classes or a tour. To schedule a visit or discuss
classes, I love teaching what I know and sharing the in's and out's of my mistakes, that you won't need to do !

I do commissions of one-of-a-kind work and limited production of
"unique to order" pieces, these are usually for a family or a wedding-
for wedding party gifts. Designs are custom for each commission.
